CIVIL CASES

Civil Cases usually involve disputes between private individuals and/or organisations. A civil case begins when a person or entity (called the plaintiff), claims that another person or entity (the defendant) has carried out a legal duty owed to the plaintiff. this could involve a contract, a lease, a physical injury experienced by an individual, a divorce or many other issues. Generally the result desired by the person filing the lawsuit is to be compensated for damages. An alternative result is having the court order another entity to stop or begin some activity
